Mr. J’s Atlantic Antic Preview: It’s This Sunday

Atlantic Antic is this Sunday, October 2, noon to 6:00 p.m., rain or shine. Karl has some video from last year’s event to get you in the spirit. Marty Markowitz: “It’s not about tube socks; it’s about real diversity, Brooklyn style.” In Karl’s own words:

Now this weekend the 37th Annual Atlantic Antic graces our wonderful neighborhood. This fair is by far the most popular, here in Brooklyn, and this year will be no exception. This film will hopefully serve as a primer for the wonderful event. Please, don’t miss it. The food, music, arts and general good will is something to behold.

    The Antic is always one of my favorite days in the hood. Food. Tunes. Fun Times. All in the middle of the street. I just hope the weather cooperates. I’m jonesing for a sardine fix!

    Yes Drew, sardines at La Mancha with a nice glass of their fantastic Sangria. Yummy.

    Was just at La Mancha last night for dinner. Xose runs a great neighborhood tapas bar. I always meet new local people and he makes the best sangria and the food is very good. Highly recommended if you haven’t checked it out for dinner/drinks.

    Probably should have the fair more towards early or mid-September. Less chance then of having a cold/nasty day as is forecast for tomorrow!
