Once again this coming weekend the gods of transit are being relatively kind to Brooklyn Heights. The only diversion directly affecting service here is that, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday until 5:00 a.m. Monday, Manhattan-bound F trains will be running on the A/C line (i.e. by way of High Street instead of York Street) from Jay Street-Metro Tech to West 4th Street in Manhattan. To get to Lower East Side stops (East Broadway, Delancey Street, 2nd Avenue, or Broadway-Lafayette) on the F, take an A, C, or F to West 4th, and change there for a Brooklyn-bound F back to the bypassed stop. To get to Manhattan from York Street, take a Brooklyn-bound F to Jay Street and switch to a Manhattan-bound A, C, or F there. If you’re going into Manhattan on the R, be aware that, on Saturday and Sunday, it will not be stopping at the Prince, 8th, 23rd, or 28th Street stations. To get to these stations, switch to a Brooklyn-bound train at 14th or 34th Street.
