Mayor’s Office to Zone A Residents: Evacuate, Don’t End Up in a Katrina Boat

Hurricane #Irene is headed towards Brooklyn Heights and Mayor Bloomberg’s office is urging residents of areas in Zone A, the most prone to flood, to evacuate. To find out if your home is in Zone A, see the NYC Evacuation Map here.

These are the kinds of boats used in Katrina. You don’t want to end up in one. If you need to evacuate, do so now.
