Sahadi’s Seeks Community Support for Expansion

This in from Sahadi’s:

We need your support. Sahadi’s is applying for a permit to expand our store. Our application is going before the board in a few weeks, and we would like to show the support of all of our friends and customers. If anyone has a minute and would like to send a letter of support, we would really appreciate it. Letters can be sent by email to cwhelan@sahadis.com or by mail to Sahadi’s 187 Atlantic Avenue Brooklyn NY 11201 attn: Christine Whelan. If you would prefer you can stop in and tell Charlie personally. We love being a part of downtown Brooklyn and want to grow within this vibrant community.

Claude, I’m with you on that! I grew up in the ’70s and recall that song being not only the worst song of 1974, but of all time! And that includes The Macarena!

GHB: to top–or should I say bottom–it, you have to go back to 1967, and what was my automatic radio station changer that year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59BZxgohr9g

If a prisoner of war clicks on that link, I could be accused of a Geneva Conventions violation.

Ha! Yes Claude, “Honey” is a pretty maudlin tune, but nothing can top (for me anyway) three minutes of AM radio abortion-debate pop hell that is “You’re Having My Baby”:

    “The need inside you
    I see it showin’
    Whoa, the seed inside ya
Baby, do you feel it growin’
Are you happy you know it
    That you’re
    Havin’ my baby”

    “Didn’t have to keep it
    Wouldn’t put ya through it
You could have swept it from you life
    But you wouldn’t do it
    No, you wouldn’t do it”
