Weekend Subway Advisory

Good news, for a change. The 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, F, and R trains will be running normally (barring “incidents”) in both directions at Clark Street, Borough Hall, High Street, Jay Street, and Court Street stations, respectively. Some diversions in Manhattan that may affect your travel plans: (1) from 11:00 p.m. to early morning Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, uptown A trains will be running express from 59th to 125th Street. For service to 72nd, 81st, 86th, 96th, 103rd, 110th, and 116th streets, either take the A to 125th then get a Brooklyn-bound A back to the skipped station, or take the 2, 3, or 1 local to a nearby stop on Broadway. From 5:00 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday the R in both directions will be diverted to the F track between 57th Street/7th Avenue in Manhattan to 36th Street Queens. For service to 59th Steet/5th Avenue (Bergdorf’s; the Plaza) and 59th Street/Lexington Avenue (Bloomie’s) change to the N at 57th; coming back take the N to 57th and change to the R. For Queens Plaza, take the A from High Street and change at West 4th to an uptown E, and vice versa returning.

    Re; Weekend Subway Advisory:
A trains always (normally) run non-stop inManhattan between 59th & 125th Sts. (DId you mean the “C”. which normally makes local stops between)?
If “the R in both directions will be diverted to the F track between 57th Street/7th Avenue in Manhattan to 36th Street Queens” between 5 AM and midnight on Saturday & Sunday, it won’t be stopping at Court Street.(York Street in DUMBO or Jay Street et Borough Hall – 0n the F line – instead.)

Tony: the C train doesn’t run late at night on weekends; the A normally provides local service in Manhattan during those hours. Diverting the R to the F line between 57th Street in Manhattan and 36th Street in Queens doesn’t affect service in Brooklyn, as the R is on its normal route everywhere south of 57th Street.
