    Do we all agree that The Brooklyn Eagle needs to clean the graffiti off their garage door on Henry Street. I’ve contacted them via email twice, to no avail.

    …and do something about their “window displays.” I suggest something along the lines of this:

    I would advise the mayor to eliminate the district system in NYC schools to remove administrative rather than teaching jobs.

    The district system is an impediment to school choice, a source of inequitably for neighborhood school funding and an artifact of a bygone era.

    Why didn’t they use evergreens at Brooklyn Bridge Park? It looks so depressing in the wintertime.

    There has been a series of package theft in my building lobby. what to do?

  • David on Middagha

    @x: Hidden camera?

    I would start with a sign that says: “Interfering with the mail is a Federal Offense. Thieves will be prosecuted.”

    Then, when you catch the thief, prosecute.

    “David on Middagh” and I spent quite a while on Friday going around tearing down posters for that “Lost Dog” from Hunt’s Lane — the dog which had been found and returned to its owner. The posters were up all over the place, even down into DUMBO. Between the two of us, we must have taken down several dozen of them!

    Also, apparently it’s the season when those “Moving $15″ (or whatever price) posters are put up on every single vertical space in BH. I walk around with a small pocket knife and slice them off, being sure to remove the clear tape wrapped around the light poles as well.
