Promenade Gardeners Hold Bake Sale Saturday

The Promenade gardeners, who have been busy the past few weeks planting bulbs for daffodils and tulips that will bloom in the spring, are having a bake sale this Saturday, December 4, from 11:00 a.m. “until the last crumb”. The sale will take place on the Promenade at the Montague Street entrance. The rain date (though the forecast is for a crisp but sunny day) is Sunday, December 5. All proceeds will go to Promenade Partners, a joint effort the Brooklyn Heights Association and the City Department of Parks and Recreation, dedicated to the beautification and maintenance of the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.     @jarbro: Outside this sale, I don’t know of a specific Promenade donation mechanism, but you could join the Brooklyn Heights Association, if you haven’t already. (I finally got around to it this year.)
