Cops: Son a Suspect in Murder of Montague Street Real Estate Agent and Wife

The Real Deal reports on the murder of a Montague Street real estate agent and his wife in their Staten Island home on Wednesday night:

The Real Deal: Arthur Bellucci, 61, worked out of Corcoran’s 124 Montague Street office in Brooklyn Heights, where he focused the bulk of his energy on residential sales. Most recently, he worked on the Lenox Road Condos new development at 337 Lenox Road in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, where Corcoran is the exclusive agent.

Bellucci died of multiple sharp force injuries, according to the medical examiner’s office. His wife, Marion, 56, suffered from a stab wound to the neck, which perforated major blood vessels. The two victims, whose deaths were ruled homicides, were pronounced dead Wednesday at 11:55 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

The suspect, the Belluccis’ son, fled to Israel after the homicide. He was apprehended at an airport in Tel Aviv by Israeli authorities at 2:30 a.m. today, after attempting to purchase an airline ticket to Beijing, law enforcement sources said. The son suffered from schizophrenia, according to news reports.
