Hot Pillow Hotel?

The hot house of Adams Street? (BHB photo by C. Scales)

The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, 333 Adams Street, is offering a “Romance Vacation Package”. According to their announcement, a steak dinner at Morton’s and a post-prandial “stroll on the Brooklyn Bridge or through Brooklyn Heights” is just the thing to inspire the desire to make whoopee. Sorry, no reasonable hourly tariff: “rates range from $379-$459 per night, plus tax.”

does that rate include the future extermination for the bedbug infestation you’ll probably bring home after staying there for the night?

Ah, a romantic stay at the local Marriott! Then, perhaps, a walk around Borough Hall, a stop at True Value, time to view the facade of the apartment building just east of the new construction on Pineapple near Henry, and then a Zippo-lit dinner at, yes, Great Wall!

Does it get any more heart-fluttering?
