My favorite Woody Allen scene happened in real life. I was seated in a Manhattan restaurant about 20 years ago near Woody and Soon-yi, not long after the whole Mia Farrow thing, where the Woodman started dating his girlfriend’s adopted daugter. Soon-yi was looking crazy underaged with pig tails and an outfit I can only describe as school girl. The Woodster was there looking perversely lecherous. A few of their friends were pretending everything was peachy.

My favorite movie scene is from Take the Money and Run when Woody’s horribly embarassed when the clerk at a store asks loudly how much “Orgasm” magazine costs, because this guy over here (Woody) wants to buy a copy.

I just saw Vicky Cristina Barcelona and thought it was one of the worst movies ever made. And wasn’t Match Point really just a re-make of Crimes & Misdemeanors with prettier people, real estate, and views?

    Oh, Woody…really?

No, I disagree. He knows nothing of his work. How he ever got to be a director of anything is totally amazing.

Heat, no pun intended, sign Wade and Bosh. Can Brooklyn still sign LBJ?. We will find out tomorrow.

  8. Karl Junkersfeld July 8, 2010 at 2:19 pm #

Manhattan was filmed on Cranberry along with Moonstruck, Three Days Of The condor and the Valachi Papers.

Another of Woody’s films was filmed on the promenade, Bananas.

Here’s a real New Yorker/Woody Allen test? Who was responsible for starting WWIII in “Sleeper” and what was his signiificance to NY history?

    THAT WAS BEFORE
    IT WAS DESTROYED
    BY THE WAR.

    - WAR ?
    - YES. ACCORDING TO HISTORY,

A MAN NAMED ALBERT SHANKER (President of the United Federation of Teachers) lol
GOT A HOLD OF A NUCLEAR WARHEAD.

    Remember this quote:

“When school children start paying union dues, that ‘s when I’ll start representing the interests of school children.”
