    They really should put up some sort of signs on the promenade that say “You will not be able to see the fireworks from here.” This year, like last year, the sidewalks were filled with dejected souls walking home from the promenade as soon as they realized that were not going to see anything. Some of those people camp out for hours only to be disappointed. Happens every time the fireworks are on the Hudson.Granted a bit of planning and they would have realized their error, but still.

    Didn’t I say exactly this would happen? Some people never learn. Also, a lot of people are clueless about geography. Yeah, happens every year.

    The fireworks were great on my TV; the Boston show, on CBS, was the best. The Macy’s show was overkill.

    it’s planned for the statue of liberty next year so hopefully that will make up for the past 2 years! we did feel sorry for the disappointed kids – signs would have definitely helped.
