DUMBO Farmers’ Market Open for Business

video-32-0-00-53-13DUMBO now has a farmers’ market all its own, located at the Pearl St. Triangle. In celebration of its first day, there will be more than produce in the offing.

In celebration of the re-opening and new location there will be a ribbon cutting at 12pm and live music from noon to 2pm. The farmers market will run from 11am to 5pm every Sunday until November 21st.

In addition to the local produce, barrel pickles, artisan breads, baked goods and organic nuts, and nut-butters available from last year’s vendors, this season’s market will feature new products like: raw honey from Burt’s Mountain Honey, gourmet marinated vegetables from Dolce Nonna and specialty mini quiche and savory bites from Yona’s Delights.

For more information about the market, visit: www.dumbonyc.org or www.communitymarkets.biz.

Nothing like buying fresh produce with the N train clattering overhead. ahhh the country living.

I went there Sunday, and renewed my love for Orwasher’s seeded rye bread and onion rolls. It’s been a long, cold winter without them.
