The workshop on researching the genealogy of your house, presented by the Brooklyn Heights Association and the Brooklyn Historical Society in conjunction with the BHA Centennial on March 27, was a success, so it is being repeated at BHS, 128 Pierrepont Street (corner of Clinton) this Saturday, May 15, starting at 2 p.m.
It’s back by popular demand! As part of the BHA’s Celebrating a Century event series, our first House Genealogy Workshop at the Brooklyn Historical Society was oversubscribed, so we’re giving everyone another chance to join us for this unique two-hour workshop on Saturday, May 15th. This workshop will help you uncover the history of your house using the Society’s resources, introducing you to the Society’s Othmer Library collections and the essential tools for house and building research. Then you will have the opportunity to use your new skills to piece together the architectural and social history of any Brooklyn home or block. If you have an interest in your home’s history, don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity. Space is limited, so act now!
The fee is $25, or $20 for BHA or BHS members. To reserve a place please call 718-222-4111 x250 or email vservice@brooklynhistory.org
