    Chris- Please don’t involve yourself in a property crime. You have no idea what actually happened. You can get hurt or sued. It goes down on paper as a robbery but if its a snatch and grab of a used ipod it can’t have a street value of more than $100. The best thing you can do is be a good witness for the victim and stick around when the cops show up.

    @Bob, re: Sandra Day O’Connor:

    I can’t confirm your Henry Street sighting, but according to Wikipedia, “she continues to hear cases and has rendered over a dozen opinions in federal appellate courts across the country, filling in as a substitute judge when vacations or vacancies leave their three-member panels understaffed.”

    Not bad for an 80-year-old! Maybe that’s why she was in the neighborhood?

    No response to above comment, but NY Magazine just upped the ante and called Cafe Iris the best Cafe in all of New York City: http://nymag.com/bestofny/food/2010/cafe/

    I still don’t like it. Am I crazy?

    Does anyone know what happened to Cafe on Clinton?? It’s closed and the phone number has been cut temporarily!!!!!!!!!

    does anyone know of a good mexican place to deliver in the heights?

  • Matthew Parker

    @rebecca:

    Cafe on Clinton is gone after a long run. The building is still owned by the previous manager. It’s due to open as a new restaurant to be called Breukelen by a chef named Andrew who’s worked at Blue Hill and other notable restaurants, and who is a native son of Bklyn Heights. Andrew’s told me he’ll be growing his own produce on the roof, and the menu will change daily and only use seasonal and local ingredients.
