“City of Water” Free Screening Tomorrow in DUMBO

"City of Water," a short documentary film about the future of New York City's (and Brooklyn's) waterfront produced by the Municipal Art Society and the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance, will be given a free screening tomorrow evening beginning at 7:30, at the Tobacco Warehouse (entrance on Water Street at New Dock Street) in Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park.

With New York City's waterways finally coming back to life, City of Water explores the aspirations of public officials, advocates, environmentalists, recreational boaters and regular New Yorkers for their waterfront as development along its shores proceeds at a gold-rush pace.

The documentary features interviews with Majora Carter, Dan Doctoroff, Cathy Drew, Joy Garland, Philip Lopate, Nydia Velasquez and others.

Reservations are encouraged, and can be made online at RSVP@mas.org or by calling 212-935-2075.
