Is the Italian restaurant on Columbia Place still happening? I haven’t noticed any work going on in the space.

I have family coming to visit me in the north Heights from Sunday to Friday, need to have parking. They parked in the Cadman Plaza garage last time and found too pricey. They could not locate the garage that was listed as on Montague that was quoted as cheaper. What do the nabe experts suggest? Thanks for your help!

How does BHB/CHB decide what tips to use/publish, versus not to use?

  • Homer Fink

Mr. Tipsky, we publish items relevant to our neighborhoods. We also try to confirm as much as we can before we print.

Prokhorov has deal to buy Nets:

So it looks like there is enough money behind the Nets now that a move to Brooklyn is definitely going to happen.

Friends coming to visit Saturday, and their little dog, too. Though I see plenty of neighbors with their dogs out and about, I’m curious to know which places (and restaurants) really are the friendliest of dog-friendly places. Any and all tips appreciated. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good primary care physician in the Heights, preferably one who accepts Aetna? I have been going to someone that I like, but the office staff and waiting room time (always at least 2+ hours) leave much to be desired. Thanks for any suggestions!

has anyone had experience with getting their bathtub refinished or relined? our tub is pretty gross and it’s about time to do something with it. i tried the spray-on enamel a few years ago and it wore off way too quickly (and was a pretty lousy experience applying in a non-ventilated bathroom).

    any help? thanks!

  • nabeguy

Aaron, there are plenty of tub refinishers available on the Web. One question. Why is your bathroom not ventilated? That’s actually against the law.

  • aaron

i know there are a ton on the web and on craiglist, but i’m looking for a trustworthy recommendation. there’s a vent above the tub, but i’m pretty sure it doesn’t really go anywhere (ie it’s just a vent that looks up into the bottom of the floor above me). building is 130 years old…

I’m looking for someone in the not-ridiculously-expensive range to help me migrate a website from Blogger to its own service, to customize (nothing too extensive or complicated) an existing site template to accommodate a few features of my site, and to talk me through the process so that I can do further maintenance myself. I don’t think that any of it would take more than a few hours.

If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please click on my name to find the site with my e-mail address in the left column.

    Thanks…
