Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

The bad and good news for this weekend — late Friday evening, November 17 to early Monday morning Monday, November 20 — is pretty much the same as last weekend’s. The bad news is that there will be no 2 or 3 train service to or from Brooklyn this weekend (late Friday night to early onday morning), so no service at Clark Street or at the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall. The good news is that 4, A, C, F, N, and R trains should, barring unforeseen events, be running normally. and 5 trains, which don’t normally serve Brooklyn o weekends, will be coming here. For those traveling to or from Brooklyn, 5 trains will make all 2 stops between here and Flatbush Avenue, and 4 trains will make all 3 stops between Atlantic Avenue/Barclay’s Center and New Lots Avenue, but Manhattan bound 4 and 5 trains will skip Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum, Grand Army Plaza, and Bergen Street.

The following week, which includes the Thanksgiving holiday, has several changes. On late Monday night to Tuesday morning (November 20-21) and late Tuesday night to Wednesday morning (November 21-22) there will be no Manhattan bound N train service at Court Street or the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, as Manhattan bound N trains will be re-routed to the Q line between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays center and Canal Street. On Wednesday, November 23 many stations in Manhattan will be enter or exit only because of Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon inflation. All day Thursday, November 24, Thanksgiving Day, trains will run on Sunday schedules. See MTA Info.

Always check MTA Info for last minute changes in planned service or unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
