This Thursday evening, July 8, starting at 6:00, St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church, Clinton and Montague streets, will present a concert by The Coolest Ranch (photo), a Brooklyn based trio who bill their sound as “Cosmic American Music.” This caught my eye because “Cosmic American Music” is the term coined by Gram Parsons to describe his “hybrid of country, rhythm and blues, soul, folk, and rock.”
The concert is part of St. Ann’s summer concert series, that benefits the church’s “Pop-Up Pantry,” which provides non-perishable food and fresh produce to those in need. Those attending the concert are asked to bring food donations or make a cash offering to support the Pop-Up Pantry. Entry is through the church’s main entrance facing Clinton Street.
