Curious if any more info on the conversation about residential parking permits. Did a search online and nothing after the initial conversation at City Hall in April…

thanks for the link. I still find it odd that they keep referencing programs in places like San Francisco and Boston…they could look a lot closer…Hoboken and Jersey City have had these for years!

Those are much smaller cities; Jersey City has 250,000, Hoboken only 50,000—likely they would look to much larger cities for examples of how they’ve implemented it.

Hi, does anyone have someone or a company they use for apartment cleaning? Anyone that comes recommended would be super helpful

San Francisco is well under 1 million. It’s about the same size as Washington DC and DC has had residential parking permits for at LEAST 25 years.

I use youcandoit.coop. Women’s co-op for immigrant workers in which the money goes directly to the worker. Have used their services several times & been thrilled with the results.

  • Teresa

    Make that wecandoit.coop

One of the awesomest things I keep seeing around the neighborhood lately is moms out playing catch with their sons. ♥️♥️♥️

Fyi: Rally tomorrow 5:30pm at Borough Hall. It is being held in response to the current policy in which authorities are separating refugee and immigrants’ children from their parents.

It’s a regular occurrence I pass on Grace Court Alley. Apparently a mom on that block is the *coach* for her son’s little league team. :-)

I never cease being grateful that Cranberry’s opens at 5:45 am.

    Philly has them too.

That the Deblas-a-hole administration is balking is proof it’s a great idea.

Yeah, but they shut really early, especially in the winter. And I don’t usually get out of my place until noon or so…

Here’s one of my photos from the 1970s. The problem with chronicling a lot of BH is that it hasn’t changed in all these years (except maybe the height of the trees):

Although Jersey City is a much smaller city, it’s streets were plagued by people from other cities driving to Jersey City, parking on the streets, and utilizing the path trains to access Manhattan. Resident permit parking works very well in Jersey city and Hobokken.
