Next Saturday evening, November 5, Theater 2020, Brooklyn Heights’ own, award winning professional stage company, will present “Broadway in Brooklyn, a Salute to Sondheim”. This concert of the music of one of Broadway’s all time great composers features:
Dorothy Kiara (Forbidden Broadway / Broadway: Nine, Anything Goes, Wonderful Town & They’re Playing Our Song), Karen Murphy (Broadway: A Little Night Music, 9 t0 5, 42nd Street, Titanic), Jay Aubrey Jones (Broadway: CATS & How to Succeed / Theater 2020: A Little Night Music), David Fuller (New York City Opera & Theater 2020: A Little Night Music), Adam Baritot (TH 2020: A Little Night Music), Elyse Beyer (TH2020: A Little Night Music), & Maestro Kevin Smith (TH2020: A Little Night Music).
The venue is the McKinney Chapel of the First Unitarian Church, 116 Pierrepont Street (near Monroe Place). The doors open at 7:00 p.m.; the concert begins at 8:00 and runs for one hour. Admission is $50, which includes a complimentary beverage before the concert; or $100 for a premium ticket that includes a complimentary beverage and a wine and hors d’ouvres reception with the cast after the concert at the Brooklyn Heights Wine Bar & Kitchen.
