Tomorrow (Wednesday, December 31) at 7:30 p.m. Bargemusic will present a New Year’s Eve Celebration featuring J.S. Bach sonatas performed by Mark Peskanov on violin and Steven Beck on piano. Then on New Year’s Day evening, Thursday, January 1, at 8:00, and on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00, and Sunday afternoon at 4:00, there will be a “Here and Now Winter Festival” with works by contemporary composers Rob Davidson, Brett Dean, Annie Gosfield, Jesse Mills, James Schlefer, Roger Stubbiefield, Ljova Zhurbin, David Shohl, David Del Tredici, and Amy Williams, played by a number of musicians (more details at website linked above). There’s more information and buy tickets here. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
