The crush is on for North Heights residents this weekend. Like last weekend, from 11:30 p.m. Friday, November 21 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 24 there will be no 2 or 3 train service in either direction between Brooklyn and Manhattan, which means no service at Clark Street (now that, according to a reader, the middle elevator is finally fixed) or on the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall. At the same time, Manhattan bound A and C trains will be re-routed to the F line between Jay Street/Metro Tech and West 4th Street. This means no Manhattan bound service at High Street, though you will be able to get from Manhattan to there. Apart from that, unplanned incidents excluded, everything’s hunky-dory at local stations.
The following (Thanksgiving) week, late nights (11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) Monday, November 24 to Wednesday, November 26, there will be no 4 train service in either direction between Brooklyn and Manhattan. Since 5 trains don’t serve Brooklyn during these hours, you’ll need to use the 2 (3 trains also won’t be running during these hours), or N (which serves Court and Jay Streets in place of the R late at night) trains as options.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
