A notice was posted at the bottom of Remsen Street late Wednesday afternoon May 23, that said filming for “Insomnia TV—Amish” would be taking place, beginning at 4 p.m. However, as of 5:30 p.m., there were no signs of action, nor were cars ordered to vacate the block.
Insomnia TV is a Manhattan-based production company comprising entertainment, marketing and promotional shoots, including film trailers and corporate. Its clients include History Channel, CBS, HBO, A&E and Lifetime.
Our best guess is that “Amish” has to do with A&E’s pilot for “Living with the Amish,” a British reality show being developed stateside that features all-American teens living with Amish families.
