The Brooklyn Autism Center is in the midst of a fundraising drive that has to date raised $72k for the school at 111 Remsen Street. The NY Daily News profiles the BAC today:
NY Daily News: The Brooklyn Autism Center on Remsen St. only has nine students in their day program to makes sure each child gets individual attention from their teachers and volunteers.
“It’s one-to-one behavioral analysis and it’s tough to find a school that does that.” said educational director Jaime Nicklas.
Teachers in the five-year-old program are rotating from child to child throughout the day – constantly evaluating their growth and development.
