Cheops Update – 80 Cranberry

Following up on my earlier Cheops Award post, I noted this morning that substantial progress has been made on the entryway at 80 Cranberry. The plywood is gone, and a new revolving door is in place. Now I eagerly await the restoration of the lovely faux marble columns that flank the door.

    They were never “faux”. They were gorgeous solid marble columns, shattered in some way and never fixed. The building *did* win architectural awards when it was built. Nice to see that the entrance is finally being restored.
