Police have still not found the attacker in last Thursday’s brutal assault at 61 Pierrepont Street. The victim was returning home from work when he approached his car and found a man attempting to steal it, according to the police report. The perp then pistol-whipped the man, and ran down the street, and pointed his silver handgun at a nearby witness and said “I will shoot you.” The victim was taken to Brooklyn Hospital where he was treated for cuts, bruises and lacerations to the top of his head and arms.
Another witness told the police the perp got away in a white 2007 Toyota with license plate EME 5052.
Local residents said they were truly shocked by last week’s incident. Tina Fleisher, who lives on Henry Street, said she was “stunned” about the attack. “It’s hard to believe that someone was attacked just around the corner from here. You don’t expect these violent crimes in the Heights.”
