Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend — late night Friday, June 14 to early Monday morning, June 17 — the only planned change adversely affecting service at any local stations is that 4 trains will not be serving Brooklyn. Because 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends, there will be no service at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall. 2 and 3 trains should be running normally and, for those traveling to and from Brooklyn, 3 trains will be making all the stops from Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College to New Lots Avenue normally served only by 4 trains.

The following work week — Monday morning, June 17 to Friday evening, June 21 — late nights Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday to Wednesday there will be no service at Clark Street or at the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall, as 2 train service will be suspended between Chambers Street and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, and 3 trains do not serve Brooklyn late at night. 4 trains should be running normally. Late night Monday to Tuesday there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as Brooklyn bound A trains will be re-routed to the F line between West 4th Street-Washington Square and Jay Street-MetroTech, and C trains do not run late at night. There are a number of changes affecting late night service at Court Street and at the N/R platforms a Jay Street-MetroTech. There will be no late night R service all week, as R service will be suspended between Whitehall Street-South Ferry and 59th Street Brooklyn. Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday to Wednesday N trains should provide service in both directions. Late nights Wednesday to Thursday there will be no Brooklyn bound service, as Brooklyn bound N trains will be re-routed to the Q line between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue. Late night Thursday to Friday there will be no service in either direction at Court Street or at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, as R trains will no be running and N trains will be re-routed in both directions to the Q line between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue. Got all that? There won’t be a quiz.

We await word for when the down escalator at the Cadman Plaza West entrance to the High Street (A/C) station will be working. Fortunately, the last we heard, the up escalator works.

These are the PLANNED service changes for this weekend and for the following week.
