Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This Christmas weekend the only planned change affecting service at local stations is that late night Friday, December 22 to early morning Saturday, December 23 and late night Saturday through all day Sunday, December 24 until early Monday morning, December 25 Brooklyn bound N trains will be re-routed the the Q line between Canal Street and 59th Street, Brooklyn, as will Brooklyn bound R trains all day Saturday and Sunday. However, late Friday to early Monday Brooklyn bound Q trains will be re-routed to the N/R line between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue. Late nights Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, and Sunday to Monday there will be no R train service in either direction, as R service will be suspended between Whitehall Street and Atalantic Avenue-Barclays Center. The net result is that there will be service in both directions at Court Street and at the n/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech all weekend, just not by all the usual trains at the ususl times.

The following work week – Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29 – there will be no late night Manhattan bound service at High Street, as A and C trains will be re-routed to the F line between Jay Street-MetroTech and West 4th Street/Washington Square. This will mean extra Manhattan bound service at York Street in DUMBO. These same nights there will be no Mahattan bound N service at Court Street or the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, but Brooklyn boundN trains should be running normally, as should R trains in both directions,
