The three NYPD officers who nabbed a trio of teen thugs as they were about to shake down their alleged next victim were honored at this month’s 84th Precinct Community Council meeting:
Brooklyn Eagle: Capt. Mark DiPaolo of the precinct opened his speech by mentioning the previous meeting’s emphasis on street robberies in Brooklyn Heights. This time he reported that thanks to the three key cops in the anti-crime unit, the series of robberies, which took place on such Heights streets as Sidney Place, Joralemon Street and Court Street, has been solved. After following three teens, the cops arrested them on April 25 as they were about to rob another victim, according to police reports.
Officers Benito Ocasio, Mark Holder and Omar Santiago, the aforementioned three cops, were honored as Cops of the Month.
“These guys are real pros. They went beyond the job and followed the right people without using any violence,” commented DiPaolo.
