Want to groove to some of the greatest dance tunes of the seventeenth century? Come to the McKinney Chapel of the First Unitarian Church, 121 Pierrepont Street, this coming Saturday, October 14 at 3:00 PM for the Repast Baroque Ensemble’s concert, The Dancing Master, presenting “country dance” or “contredance” or “contradance” tunes from England, France, and Spain, respectively. There’s no dance floor, but you may tap your feet, quietly. If you can’t make it Saturday, there will be a performance on Sunday, October 15 at 3:00 PM at the Manhattan Country School, 150 West 85th Street (between Amsterdam and Columbus). You may buy tickets for the Brooklyn performance here, and for the Manhattan performance here.
