Eagle: Fake Bomber Fesses Up

commerce.JPGThe Brooklyn Eagle reports that Fake Bomber Michael Contreni has reportedly confessed to authorities: 

 

Then, when Contreni was shown security camera photos from each of these three banks, according to the official complaint, he circled the photo of the person robbing or attempting to rob the bank, and wrote “It’s me.” When police showed him the three threatening letters that were shown to the bank tellers, he signed a copy of each and wrote, “I wrote it!”

A report on WNBC said that investigators said Contreni, of 192 Sands St., may be a heroin addict. The Eagle couldn’t confirm this, but did learn that in January, Contreni was picked up for possession of marijuana and released with a desk appearance ticket, according to the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.
