Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend — Late Friday evening, August 4 to early Monday morning, August 7 — there will be no 3 train service. 2 trains should be running normally and will make all 3 train stops in both directions between 96th Street in Manhattan and Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. 4 trains, which should also be running normally, will make all 3 train stops in both directions between Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College and New Lots Avenue. There will be extra service in both directions at Court Street, at the Court Street N/R platforms accessible from Borough Hall, and at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, as N trains, which normally serve these locations only late at night, will be re-routed all weekend to the R line between DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn and Canal Street in Manhattan.

The following work week — Monday, August 7 through Friday. August 11, there will be no late night — Monday to Tuesday through Thursday to Friday — Manhattan bound service at High Street, as Manhattan bound A and F trains will be re-routed to the F line from Jay Street-MeroTech in Brooklyn to West 4th Street-Washington Square in Manhattan. This means there will be extra late night Manhattan bound service at York Street in DUMBO. To reach the bypassed lower Manhattan A/C stops, take a Manhattan bound train to West 4th and change to a Brooklyn bound train back to the bypassed station, or use nearby 2/3 or N/R stations.

Always check MTA Info for last minute changes in planned service or unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
