“Open Streets” Returns to Montague Starting May 6

Open Streets Montague, co-sponsored by the Montague Street BID and by the Brooklyn Heights Association, with the co-operation of the NYC Department of Transportation, will return Saturday, May 6 and will continue every Saturday through October 28, with a break for all of August and through Labor Day (during which time, of course, everyone will be in the Hamptons). On these Saturdays, Montague Street will be closed to traffic from Clinton to Hicks, with a lane open for emergency traffic. According to the Montague BID:

“There is some great entertainment lined up, a host of activities for all ages and we will be bringing back some great themed days (such as dog days!) from last season. But equally important, there will also be Saturdays when it’s more quiet, the bistro chairs and tables are set up, the cars are gone and our community can simply come out and enjoy the open and unpolluted space.

We will keep you posted on special activities, events, or promotions by local businesses to be held in conjunction with Open Streets. If you would like to sponsor a free event or activity during an Open Streets Saturday, please email hellomontaguebid@gmail.com
