    Claude,

A beautiful picture of the Promenade Christmas tree probably the best annual picture ever.

We hope the new BQE will preserve the Promenade and this spot for the flagpole and the annual tree?

    Happy holidays!

Claude, here’s my photo of the entrance to the Promenade during a snowstorm in 2010:

Cafe on Cadman? Sounds like a nice idea with the refresh of the park. Let’s get something good put in and not somewhere where they prepackage it, unwrap it and warm it up.

Good. I hope they focus some attention on Sidney Place. It appears some of the cars there haven’t moved in months and the street shows it.

On the Brooklyn Bridge I’ve noticed post-covid that the vendors who were previously confined to the ramp on the west end have multiplied and expanded onto the full length of the bridge. The new “photo booths” in the center are especially obstructive, occupying half the walkway and blocked off with theater-style barriers. Are there any city restrictions on these?

Is the Park Plaza Diner still open?

Yes, and they are planning to renovate soon.

  • Effective Presenter

Thank you Mr..Stanton,. And so the newly renovated Park Plaza Diner can serve Cadman Plaza Park. Park Plaza Diner is a large comfortable place.

Renovate AGAIN? Over the past several years haven’t they renovated at least once, to make their side dining space more spacious (and to feature barbecue)?

  • KBells40

I haven’t seen the photo booths (the the thought horrifies me) but the expansion of the vending takes away significantly from the enjoyment of the bridge and I wish the city would remove all of it.

All the xmas tree vendors seem to have disappeared? Anyone know where to get one now? (Yes… I procrastinated…)

Still selling them within a stone’s throw of the “back steps” of Boro Hall. Closest street corner may be Montague & Court. About 45 degrees to the right from there, about 1 minute walk. Near but not in “Santa’s Village.”

I was walking on Henry near State and heard the shrieking sound from 347 Henry again. I guess the people at Fortis are too overwhelmed by the problems they’re having with their Maiden Lane tower as well as losing the other LICH properties to Madison Realty Capital a couple of months ago to fix those balcony railings causing the noise?

  • B.

Are there any city restrictions on anything? Eating sheds that front not just their own space but that of neighboring businesses? How about on how darkly tinted car windows can be? Noise pollution — whoops! music! — from double-parked cars?

Just for fun, has anyone been to Howard Beach or driven through to get to the bird sanctuary recently? Holiday music blasting from every other utility pole all along Cross Bay Boulevard. Yikes!

  • Effective Presenter

We suspect that there are city restrictions here that the Eric Adams administration does NOT enforce.

  • Effective Presenter

City Restrictions of all kinds but few if any are enforced by the current Mayor Eric Adams.
