Distinguished journalist and Brooklyn Heights resident Craig R. Whitney retired as a New York Times editor in 2009, after a long career there that included service as a war correspondent in Vietnam, reporting from Bonn and Paris, and heading the paper’s Moscow bureau. This coming Sunday, June 5, starting at 12:30, he will speak in the sanctuary of Grace Church, 254 Hicks Street (at Grace Court, between Joralemon and Remsen) on the topic “Ukraine and Russia: A History of Sorrows.” All are welcome to attend, and admission is free.
