Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend — late evening Friday, May 20 to early morning Monday, May 23 — just like last weekend there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as Brooklyn bound A and C trains are being diverted to the F line from 34th Street-Herald Square to Jay Street-MetroTech. There will be no late night R service in either direction all weekend, but N trains should be running normally. To get to or from Bay Ridge transfer between the N and a free shuttle bus at 59th Street. All other trains serving local stations should be running normally. Unless you’re a very early riser or a runner it probably won’t matter to you that, because of the NYRR Brooklyn Half Marathon between the hours of 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM on Saturday, no trains will be stopping in either direction at Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum.

The following work week — Monday, May 23 to Friday, May 27 — during late nights there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as Brooklyn bound A trains are being diverted to the F line from 34th Street-Herald Square to Jay Street-MetroTech, and there is no late night C service. Brooklyn bound C service will end earlier than usual Monday to Thursday. Late night 2 service is suspended in both directions; 3 trains should be running normally and will be making 2 stops between Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College and 135th Street, while 4 trains will make 2 stops between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and New Lots Avenue. All week there will be no late night R service in either direction, but N trains should be running normally. To get to or from Bay Ridge transfer between the N and a free shuttle bus at 59th Street. Early mornings Monday to Friday some Brooklyn bound 5 trains will be diverted to the 2 line and will either terminate at Rector Street in Manhattan or continue on the 2 line to Brooklyn. All other trains serving local stations should be running normally.

These are the planned service changes directly affecting service at local stations. Always check MTA Info for unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
