Today, April 22 is Earth Day, but this Saturday, April 24, Brooklyn Bridge Park will celebrate with a full list of activities for adults and kids. They include a meditative nature walk, a scavenger hunt, family fitness, an Earth Day storytime, Yoga, and opportunities to volunteer for cleanup of the park and shoreline. Here’s a full list of Earth Day events. These activities comply with Covid 19 protocols, and so may require advance registration.
This coming Tuesday, April 27, and every Tuesday through October 26, the Park, in conjunction with the New York Road Runners, will host a 5K run, starting at 7:00 p.m., the NYRR Open Run. Details are here.
On Wednesday, April 28 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Park horticulturalist Evelyn Manlove will lead “Getting to Know the Trees of the Park,” an exploration of the Park’s many varieties of trees. More information here.
