On Tuesday night, the Community Board 2’s economic development committee will meet at 6 pm in the Jonas Board Room, at Long Island University (Flatbush Avenue Extension at DeKalb Avenue). Directors of the interrelated Metrotech, Fulton Mall, and Court-Livingston-Schermerhorn business improvement districts will come speak about what they do and the kinds of services they provide in the neighborhood.
On Wednesday, the CB2 health, environment and social services committee will meet at 6 pm at Brooklyn Hospital, in conference rooms 3A and 3B (DeKalb Avenue at St. Felix Street). Liquor license applications are on the agenda, including presentations by the Sheraton Aloft hotel going up on Duffield Street in Downtown and Clover’s Fine Art Gallery on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill. The Brooklyn Realization Center — an addiction treatment facility at 175 Remsen St. — will also talk about what kinds of work they do at the center.
