Part of Columbia Heights to be Closed on July 14, but What Part?

Let’s see … Pierremont Street. Is that in Fort Greene? Vinegar Hill? Bushwick? Canarsie?

You’ve been forewarned.

    “Pierremont”?

  • Pierrepont

Is this because they are repaving the street or what?

These kind of signs are usually for crane operation (hauling up A/C equipment to the roof or whatnot). I suppose someone on the block could look out their window and see if I’m right :)

There is indeed a massive crane there today. As far as I can tell, it’s being used to haul up furniture and material to the top of the Standish for a swanky roof deck.

This is in no way the first time the street has been closed all day for this or that to be hoisted up unto the roof of the Standish.
Plenty of other examples such as 70 Willow St where everything is closed down days at a time.
You have to wonder where all this entitlement starts and ends.
