Aeshtron may post the same comment but then you post the same response. Which is stupid?

Monty Q is our crowd pleaser. It’s reasonably-priced and hits all the right notes. I really like Fascati and it’s got a super crispy crust, but my biggest complaint is that it’s just a bit too salty. Table 87 is great too. It’s right on the border of New York style and traditional Italian.

Further, the weekly reminder of the phrase keeps it in our consciousness; the protests may have waned, maybe people aren’t as vocal online as they were a month ago, and the valuable thing Aeshtron is doing is helping to maintain momentum.

We have a whole group of Americans whose lives have been historically devalued, and this problem is just now entering the “kitchen table” in terms of being talked about.

BH Mike seems uncomfortable or bored with this, but for many others—not just Black Americans but all who are marginalized and all who are capable of empathy—it’s a matter of life and death.

Black Lives Matter. Say it every morning. If you’re uncomfortable hearing or reading it, examine your mind for why that is.

“same stupid comment.” I think you’ve revealed just about enough of yourself with those three words. Pack it in, Mike.

My vote is for My Little Pizzeria, if you are looking for an authentic “NY slice.”

  • Heightsman

Fascati’s extra cheese. Nothing better. A good alternative, House of Pizza & Calzone.

Definitely not taking morality lessons from the guy who violated the stay at home orders on multiple occasions! (But it was ok, cause his circumstances were special.)

Your accusation is false. I know what you’re talking about: the time my wife and I walked the two blocks to the promenade at 1am in mid-April, while social distancing and otherwise self-isolating, and the only reason you heard about it is because it provided the context for me to write on here about a person we encountered that night.

Not sure how that invalidates the spirit of Black Lives Matter, but it’s safe to say you’re just looking for any reason. MLK Jr, Barak Obama, Maya Angelou, and James Baldwin could link arms, scream the phrase right in your paunchy face, and you’d find some reason to sit there and say “definitely not taking morality lessons from…”

    Sit down.

I see the NYPD has given tickets today to the entire row of cars parked on the east side of Hicks St between Pierrepont and Clark. They really just can’t make up their minds whether it’s illegal or not during an alternate-side-parking suspension. (Spoiler: it’s illegal, even if the law is poorly drafted and ticketing is somewhat random.)

And the folks at 52 Clark Street have resorted to putting up their own NO PARKING sign in the road, because the city’s uneven enforcement is clogging up that street too.

What was all the noise down by Pier1 or over by the Seaport this afternoon?

  • Cranberry Beret

Youtuber Prettyboyfredo encouraged hundreds of fans to pack into Pier 2 for some kind of appearance/stunt…pretty irresponsible

Where were the park people to control crowds?!

@ BH Mike — No you absolutely don’t get it and it seems unlikely to me that you ever will. Black Lives Matter : )

Fortunately, to quote Linda Creed, “I believe the children are the future” and our nation’s youth “get” many of the pressing issues that are facing our eARTh.

It’s never too late to seek redemption : )

  • BH Mike

You’re right. I’m not buying into the BLM movement crap. That’s what it is. Blue lives matter.

  • ColumbiaHeightster

    Black Lives Matter.

  • ColumbiaHeightster

“BLM movement crap” = you’re a racist. That’s it. Full stop. BLACK LIVES MATTER.

  • BH Mike

It’s so easy to call someone a racist these days. If someone doesn’t agree with you you’re a racist. Many racists accusations have no merit and come from people who can’t take criticism. It’s a joke. All lives matter. Blue lives matter.

If I don’t call Fascati’s for delivery, then my go-to spot is PRONTO on Court Street just off Atlantic. Delicious pizza – many varieties deliver quickly. Delicious!

  • ColumbiaHeightster

That may be so, Mike. But you literally called the Black Lives Matter movement “crap.” I’m sorry, but that’s a racist comment. There’s really no sidestepping that.

  • BH Mike

Once again proving my point. Don’t like the criticism then you must be racist. You must be able to come up with something better.
