I was seated on the Promenade on Thursday afternoon around 4pm and heard our favorite dog walker (the overweight one who rides her scooter onto the sidewalk while walking the dogs). She had two larger dogs, one a lighter golden retriever. It was off leash, which I believe is not allowed on the Promenade. Furthermore, while it ran off, it stopped to eat something, so she loudly bellowed at it, as though she were addressing a dumb person, “What are you eating there? Don’t eat that! It’s a dirty tissue.” Like the dog is supposed to understand her. If it had been on the leash, she could have yanked it back to keep it from eating the tissue. Instead, she tries to reason with the dog. Brilliant.
