This will be an all Bach weekend at Bargemusic. On Friday evening, December 6 at 7:00 Johnny Gandelsman will play the first three of J.S. Bach’s cello suites on the violin. On Sunday afternoon, December 8 at 4:00, he will play the next three.
On Saturday evening, December 7 at 6:00, and again at 8:00, members of the Semplice Players, joined by guest artists Mark Peskanov on violin and Rita Sloan on piano, will present “Celebrating Bach”, which includes three great works of his, including the magnificent Brandenburg Concerto No.5.
