Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

From about 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 29 until about 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 7 there will be no 3 train service in either direction, but 2 and 4 trains should (we stress SHOULD) be running normally, so there will be service in both directions at Clark Street and Borough Hall. This will be extended into the following work week, when 3 trains won’t be running late at night Monday, December 2 to Friday, December 6. For those traveling into Brooklyn, 4 trains will be making 3 train stops from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to New Lots Avenue. This weekend there will be no Brooklyn bound service at York Street in DUMBO, as Brooklyn bound F trains will be diverted to the A/C line between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech. To reach Brooklyn from the LES stops on the F, take a Manhattan bound F to West 4th and change there for a Brooklyn bound A, C, or F. All weekend there will be extra Brooklyn Bound service at Court Street and Jay Street-MetroTech, as Brooklyn bound N and Q trains will be running on the R line. Q trains will continue to run on the R line late nights the following week.

These are the PLANNED service changes for the coming weekend and following work and holiday week that directly affect service at local stations. If you’re planning to take a train not affected by these planned changes, we urge you to first check MTA Info to see if there are any unplanned service disruptions. Also, always check MTA Info for planned or unplanned changes that may affect your trip on other parts of the system.
