Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend, from about 11:30 p.m. Friday, November 8 to about 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, there will be no 2 or 3 train service in either direction at Clark Street or Borough Hall. 4, 5 (yes, 5 trains will be serving Brooklyn this weekend) and R trains will provide optional service. Also, from about 11:45 p.m. Friday to about 5:00 a.m. Monday there will be no Manhattan bound service at York Street in DUMBO, as F trains will be diverted to the A/C line from Jay Street-MetroTech to West 4th Street. To reach the LES stops on the F, take an A, C, or F from Jay Street or High Street to West 4th, and take a Brooklyn bound F from there.

The following work week, from Monday, November 11 to Friday, November 15 there will be no 2 train service in either direction at Clark Street or Borough Hall each night from about 9:30 p.m. to about 5:00 a.m, and no 3 train service during these same late night hours Monday to Thursday (so there should be 3 train service during these hours from Thursday evening to Friday morning). Each night Monday to Thursday from about 11:00 p.m. N trains from Manhattan will be diverted to the R line and serve Court Street and Jay Street. Each night Tuesday to Friday from about 11:00 p.m. to about 5:00 a.m. Q trains from Manhattan will also be diverted to the R line and will serve Court Street and Jay Street. R trains, which during these late night hours only go to and from Whitehall Street, the first stop in Manhattan, will not be running in either direction each night Monday to Friday from about 11:45 p.m. to about 5:00 a.m. Your best bet for lower Manhattan service is probably the 4 train.

These are the PLANNED service changes for the coming weekend and following work week. If you’re planning to take a train not affected by these planned changes, we urge you to first check MTA Info to see if there are any unplanned service disruptions.
