Update:The memorial for the firefighters of Engine Co. 205 and Hook and Ladder Co. 118 will take place at the firehouse, 74 Middagh Street, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 11.
There will be an all day event at the Brooklyn Historical Society, which will present, from 8:30 A.M. until 7:00 P.M., in real time “9/11,” a video accidentally made by Wolfgang Staehle that recorded all the events of the day from the vantage point of Brooklyn. Beginning at 7:00 there will be a panel discussion. Admission is free, but please RSVP for the video screening here and for the discussion here.
Starting at 6:30 P.M. at the Montague Street entrance to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, the Brooklyn Heights Interfaith Clergy Association will hold a memorial service for those who died on 9/11. We remembered the service on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 here.
There’s more information about these events in the Eagle.
