This weekend, from 9:45 PM Friday,October 5 to 5:00 AM Monday, October 8, 3 trains will replace the 4 in Brooklyn. We’re not sure if they will be using the 2/3 or the 4 platform at Borough Hall, though we suspect the former. That means no service in either direction on the 4/5 platforms (no 5 service to Brooklyn on weekends) at Borough Hall. 2 trains should be running normally (along with 3 trains) at Clark Street in both directions. This substitution of 3 for 4 service will continue the following work week – Monday, October 9 to Friday, October 12, each night from 9:45 PM to 5:00 AM. Apart from this, there are no planned service changes affecting local stations this weekend.
The following work week, apart from the 3 for 4 substitution noted above, each night from 9:45 PM to 5:00 AM there will be no Manhattan bound service at High Street, as A and C trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street. Also, each night from 10:45 PM to 5:00 AM, there will be no Manhattan bound service at Court Street or at the N/R platforms at Jay Street, as N and R trains are being diverted to the Q line from DeKalb Avenue to Canal Street. During these hours, your only service to Manhattan will be the 2 or 3 train from Clark Street or Borough Hall.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, and for unplanned disruptions, see MTA Info.
