This year the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will be launched from seven barges staged in the East River between East 23rd and East 40th Streets. Per the official website, “the fireworks may be viewed from any area in Brooklyn with an unobstructed view of the sky above the East River.” Macy’s does not recommend Brooklyn Bridge Park as a vantage point. So, cozy up to a friend with a balcony on a high floor or rooftop access.
