Pianist Donald Berman (photo) will lead off Bargemusic’s Memorial Day weekend concert series on Friday evening, May 25 at 8:00, playing works by J.S. Bach, John Aylward, Elena Ruehr, Eric Moe, and Charles Ives. On Saturday evening, May 26 at 8:00, violinist and Bargemusic Artistic Director Mark Peskanov, cellist Julian Schwarz, and pianist Misha Dichter will perform works by Gerard Schwarz and Franz Schubert. On Sunday afternoon, May 27 at 4:00 pianist Marika Bournaki, who denies being a rock star, will perform the first in a series of concerts at Bargemusic in which she will play all 32 of Beethoven’s piano sonatas. On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
