Does anyone know what happened to the shade “sails” on the soccer pier down in BBP?

  • StudioBrooklyn

I believe they’re seasonal. They’ll probably be back up around Memorial Day.

Anyone else get any good photos of the St. Ann’s Puppet Parade yesterday? I caught one with this handsome devil in the foreground.

Does anyone have any contact information for the Friends of Hillside Dogpark? They used to have a website, but it doesn’t seem to be working anymore.

Is the BQE at the border of the Heights going to be shut for construction? When? Will traffic be re routed down Clinton / Hicks Streets?

  • MaggieO

2021-22 for construction to start. i believe they’re intending to shut down only one direction at a time and build a temporary structure on Furman Street to accommodate that traffic during construction. don’t be surprised if that all changes.

Just be thankful that we don’t rely on the L train. Whatever BQE bullshit that we have to deal with won’t conpare to that nightmare.

The Real Deal reports that from May 7-13, the largest real estate deal in all Brooklyn was a converted carriage house at 4 Hunts Lane in the Heights, which sold for about $5.4 million. The 3-bedroom home has a large basement with a separate office. This was the first time it had been on the market in 26 years.
