Bargemusic’s weekend begins Friday evening, April 27 at 8:00 when Australian born, New York resident pianist Lisa Moore, described in the New Yorker as “New York’s queen of avant garde piano,” (photo by Yumiko Izo) plays the complete piano works of Leoš Janaček. On Saturday evening, April 28 at 8:00 pianist Francine Kay will play works by Schumann, Chopin, Josef Suk, and Debussy. On Sunday afternoon, April 29 at 4:00 the Dorian Wind Quartet will perform works by Bach, Carter, and Childs. There are details for each concert and you may buy tickets here.
On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
